Morostide is about to begin, and everyone is getting excited. SO am I. But I have a really good idea. Morostide is the second most exciting holiday on Subeta, as Luminaire is probably the first. So I was thinking of making Morostide a month long event similar to some things we get a Luminaire. Such as a daily item and achievements for getting the items everyday. Maybe a costume contest and a costume party with special prizes. Maybe turn the Mallarchy pond into a bobbing for apples during October, and we could pop pumpkin balloons instead of the regular balloons. In fact, you could make the Carnival area all Morostide themed.

Just an idea I have been brainstorming for a while.

I think there are good ideas, but there is room for a lot of improvement.

There is another event in October, so Morostide cannot be one month long. Unless it spilled into November, and I'm not sure I'd like that. Morostide's clean cut end at the end of October allows me to calculate how much time I actually have to get items. This is why I don't like Vesnali and events with no fixed end.

Morostide should, imo, really be centered around Shadowglen. If anything, add more things to Shadowglen and the Underground. Like beef up Mage and Quentin for the season or something. But carnival rewards shouldn't be changed for an event, especially since a bunch of them are now achievement items.

I...also don't want a go-online-every-day event like the Advent Calendar. Morostide already has its exclusive items via pumpkin patch and trick-or-treating, which are more unique to the event.

We've had costume contests most recently for Peka Boo, so these are possible. It's probably too late for any such thing to happen this year though.

October already has another holiday and from here on out until April it's pretty much solid special holiday events for which we got an extra long boost from the 10th anniversary. As fun as Morostide is, and I really do enjoy it, I think a mercy for the wonderful staff of keeping it only two weeks is a good idea, sorry.

The skin ideas for Mallarchy and Balloon though, those are cute I like those. A number of the NPCs that wear Morostide costumes have had their image updated, so it is possible that the art for this sort of thing will not be ready though.

We already have the pumpkin patch. It's not exactly the same as what I think you're suggesting, but variety is a good thing. I wouldn't want all holidays to have the exact same activities.

And we had a Morostide costume contest back in 2010.

I think I like the current length of the event, but giving the pre-existing games some seasonal style sounds fun.

Surely all carnivals have a Freakshow for Morostide...? (Roll up, roll up! See the Bearded Pumpkinhead Lizard swallow the Bat Sword of Morostide! Oh... well, Pumpkin Slices anyone...? )

And you never know, there might be a Haunted House at the end of that tunnel of trees in Shadowglen... (maybe for seasonal games or something?)
